weather forecast
A low-pressure system over northern Europe is bringing sustained polar cold air towards us behind a cold front. This means that early winter weather could settle in for a long period, even reaching the valleys. However, the most significant precipitation this week has already fallen at the beginning of the week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, high air pressure will temporarily make itself felt, bringing dry weather. A temporary light southwesterly foehn will cause the cold to ease slightly. A few harmless high clouds will mark this easing of the frost on Wednesday. On Thursday, however, the next cold front will reach us. Although it is only weak and will only bring a few light snow showers from the northwest, temperatures will drop significantly again. An icy northeasterly wind will blow on Friday, and, with heavy cloud cover, there may be light snowfall at times.
